Volvo S80: Having Womans Safety in Mind

Author: Glady Reign

In the automotive realm, when safety is mentioned, Volvo will never be absent in the picture. For decades now, the automaker is continuously improving its safety features to offer peace of mind among car occupants. The most recent safety innovation is imbibed in all-new Volvo S80 sedan. Aficionados say that the automaker engineered the car with a womans safety in mind.

The notion is triggered by the introduction of the Personal Car Communicator on the new Volvo S80. According to enthusiasts, having the PCC is like enjoying a status window to know what is going on inside the car. The featured fob is capable of exchanging information up to 330 feet from the car. In addition, it doubles as an authentication key. What more, with the PCC placed inside the pocket, the car doors could be automatically unlocked upon approach. The dash of the Volvo S80 sedan also features a pushbutton ignition.

A quick look at the PCC will confirm whether the doors are locked or not. Moreover, according to the automaker, PCC is really all about personal security. It uses flashing lights to alert the driver that there is somebody hiding in the car. Once the alarm is hit, a heartbeat sensor can detect the biorhythms of a living body inside the car. When approaching the Volvo S80, a push on the status button will make the PCC start to beep. It is also programmed to vibrate if a inferior guy has entered into the car and is hiding in the back seat. The idea behind the auto feature is to secretly alert the driver and to quietly leave to call for assist without alerting the trespassers that their presence has already been detected.

The all-new Volvo S80 has debuted at the Geneva Motor Show last February. Almost all of the features of the car were substantially upgraded. It is now featuring a new 3.2 L straight-6 or 4.4 L V8 engine mated to the available four-wheel drive. Aside from the PCC, the Volvo S80 is also equipped with blind spot detector on side mirrors, Blind Spot Information System (BLIS), Active Bi-Xenon Lights (ABL), and the Adaptive Cruise Control (ACC) with Collision Warning and Brake Support (CWBS). These features ensure pampering comfort and stresses utmost safety an automaker could offer.

The Volvo S80 also boasts stunning beauty and grace. From the outside to the inside, the sedan epitomizes grace, flexibility, power and performance. Its auto parts are cautiously chosen to boost these features. Its accessories are also designed to bolster the elegance of the car. The automaker is also offering quality Volvo Volvo floor mats, which are not only made to add a dash of elegance but to protect the car from filth, oil, grime and other foreign elements as well.
