Volkswagen to Launch Third Member of the Cross Family, the New Crosstouran

In the news: Volkswagen maker of the well-liked lines of VW distributor rotor and Europes largest automaker has announced that it will launch its third crossover the Volkswagen CrossTouran model to the market. Volkswagen CrossTouran with the supplemental Cross name is a worthy vehicle to be use for day-to-day activities. Its body has that striking look which is expected from a Volkswagen vehicle. Its interior is fresh and its chassis is built high.
This is not actually the first time that Volkswagen has created such type of vehicle, last year Volkswagen created the CrossPolo which bears the same fresh interior and high chassis. It is also one of the best selling cars of Volkswagen today. Then last January 2007, Volkswagen sent the second model of this species onto the market in the form of the CrossGolf. And two months later another Cross is to be introduced which is the CrossTouran.
The Volkswagen CrossTouran is a remarkable car with multivariable character. It is cleverly designed with ample space both for passengers and cargo. The new Cross van is based on the Touran that was redesigned last fall. And just like its other Cross siblings, the new CrossTouran is characterized by full-bodied guard strips, powerful wheel arches, modified bumpers and redesigned alloy wheels.
The front of the CrossTouran showcase, 17-inch Funplay type wheels are equipped with size 215 tires, and in the rear with size 235 tires. The vehicles track width was also increased. And to provide it with a bolder and meaner appearance, the chassis was elevated by approximately 12 millimeters. Its roomy interior is another worthy feature of the new Cross since it can be used to transport stuffs like mountain bikes, hang gliders, or any kind of sporting equipment.
The new Cross can also do the parking for you through its optional park steering assist system called Park Assist which include the Park Pilot distance warning system in front and rear. It also has Hill Hold Control hill climb help. The Park Assist used for the new Cross is as system developed by Volkswagen which performs parking almost automatically. It is also very easy to operate since it is press button activated.
When it comes to exterior features the new Volkswagen CrossTouran is identified for its front details which consist of partially black headlamp housings, Matte Chrome insignia radiator grille, black guard strips, and bumper redesigned especially in its lower area with standard fog lamps. It also has distinctive black, textured trim covers in the spoiler area that is likened to those found on the SUVs.
Found on the sides of the Volkswagen CrossTouran are black body covers around the doors, rocker panels and fenders. The accent strips on doors, sill panels and wheel arches and are produced from the same high quality black grained plastic which provide protection against parking damage and emphasize its strong exterior. And just like the add-on parts, the door handles are sporty black. Also mounted on black brackets is the standard roof rail that its made of silver anodized metal.
For the rear end of the CrossTouran are taillights with dark bodies and robust bumper design that is made to suit the overall vehicle concept with its wrap-around black trim.
In the inside the new Cross is a collage of colors, materials, and fabrics. The fresh orange design is made exclusive for the new Cross model. It can also accommodate at least seven seats and up to 1,989 liters of cargo. The new Cross has also the endurance and the stamina to take on any challenge.
