Batchmaster Vice President Gains Certification With Supply Chain Management Competence

Author: Thomas Cutler

Preston Blevins, vice-president with BatchMaster (www.batchmaster.com) has received the APICS (Association for Operations Management) CSCP certification. It is the first certification from any professional society or association for verifying supply-chain management competence. With the continuing decline of the manufacturing base in North America and out-sourcing to China and other low cost locations around the world it has become the hot profession.

BatchMaster is well-served by Blevins expertise because the process manufacturing ERP leader is best able to offer a comprehensive solving capability. BatchMaster assists with compliance regulations applied to the process manufacturing industry, including the Bio Terrorism Act, HACCP, 21 CFR Part 11, and MSDS. Using BatchMaster for new and current product development includes the use of formula management, laboratory, and samples management to bring dependability to the process manufacturing warehouse. To provide flawless process manufacturing benefits, BatchMaster also offers material and capacity planning. If a product is formula- or recipe-based, it is likely BatchMaster Process Manufacturing ERP will improve operating effectiveness and efficiencies.

Some would assume that NAPM (formerly ISM) would have been the first to offer supply chain certification; however they continue to focus on the supply side. The APICS product is centered on both the SCOR (http://www.supply-chain.org/cs/root/home) and GSCF models. There are currently fewer than five hundred CSCP certified individuals.
