Nutrition is the taking in and use of food and other nourishing material by the body. Nutrition is a 3-part process. First, food or drink is consumed. Second, the body breaks down the food or drink into nutrients. Third, the nutrients travel through the bloodstream to different parts of the body where they are used as "fuel" and for many other purposes. To give the body proper nutrition, a person has to eat and drink enough of the foods that contain key nutrients. Niutriton is the processes by which an organism takes in and uses food.

The taking in and use of food and other nourishing material by the body. Eating the right kinds of foods before, during, and after treatment can assist the patient feel better and stay stronger. For many patients, however, some side effects of cancer and cancer treatments make it difficult to eat well. Appetite, taste, and the ability to eat enough food or absorb the nutrients from food may be affected.

Niutrition is also defined as the process by which living creatures obtain energy from food and drink for the purpose of body growth and maintenance.

When a body becomes ill, nutritional medicine calls for higher, therapeutic doses of basic nutrients to address illnesses and disorders. It is effective in addressing diseases of deficiency that may be caused by poor diet or extreme environmental factors. Because this method uses substances vital to a body's well being, nutritional medicine is well received by the body.

Niutrition is also a process by which a living organism uses food for health, growth, and replacement of tissues. It is the science of food, the nutrients and other substances contained therein, their action, interaction, and balance in relation to health and disease. It is also defined as the science or practice of taking in and using foods or nourishing substances for cell growth, energy and to fight infections. Nutrition can be taken by mouth, IV, NJ, or NG tube.


Niutrition plays a definite role in our daily lives:

Nutrition provides us with energy nutrients that our bodies need for fuel to race all the different functions in our bodies. These energy nutrients include carbohydrates, proteins, and fats. Nutrition provides vitamins and minerals that are necessary components of all those various functions in our bodies. For example, your body needs several vitamins and mineral to change carbohydrates into usable energy. Nutrition also provides us with phytonutrients and antioxidants like lycopene and lutein which hold us healthy.
There are entire text books written on cell biology. Cells are the building blocks of all the different types of tissues in our bodies. Different types of cells have different functions and there are way too many to list in an advice column.

Nutrition is the process by which our bodies receive energy, vitamins, minerals, and other phytochemicals from the foods we eat.
The macronutrients are carbohydrates, proteins, and fats, and the micronutrients are the vitamins and minerals.
